Hi Friends! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! Getting close to my birthday (it’s this weekend) and also prepping for Thanksgiving!
I love this time of year because obviously, my birthday, but everyone is just feeling a bit cheerful and festive because of all the holidays coming! I love Thanksgiving and I feel bad that it’s not giving enough credit. Shortly after Halloween is over, everyone tends to forget about Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas mode!
I just like Thanksgiving because it’s a time to reflect on the blessings that you have had over the year and also a great time to reflect on the year in general; whether it is good or bad. Spending time with family and friends and sharing great memories. Eating until you are absolutely full; and for some watching football games and others (me in general) black friday shopping (🙈).
I also love, love, LOVE to cook and bake. So, generally, this is my time to shine! I alway get carried away and make too many side dishes and between 5-9 desserts! And usually we host about 6-8 people in total! (Okay, so Pintrest has a big role in my overachievement in this department). Eating yummy things and sharing with others is something that I like the best about Thanksgiving! Seeing people enjoy a dessert or a dish just really gets me excited! Like giving a gift, but in food version.
So to me, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays that I spend with those that I care and love!
Lovely in Pink Velvet
Ok, so for some, here is the real reason you came on here…to check out this super cute outfit! I’m seriously loving all the velvet and glitter for the holidays! I always loved to wear things shiny and bright! This skirt is so pretty and fun to wear! It’s from Target! This is a great piece to have for the fall and winter season! The skirt can be dressed up for holiday parties or can be dressed down with a simple white top, jean jacket, and sneakers. I opted for a more feminine look by adding this super cute top from LOFT. It’s has fun details such as small cougar and floral print. It also has rose foil shimmer that makes the ruffled top pop! In the skirt I’m wearing a XS and runs true to size. In the top I’m wearing my normal size of XXS and fits true to size.
Lately, I have been shopping at Old Navy for more of their fall and now holiday clothing. I have been pleasantly surprised with what they are bringing this season! A lot of brights and shiny accessories and shoes that will make you look stylish this fall and holiday season! I’m wearing these super cute ballet flats in gold and they are so fun! I’m a big Kate Spade admirer and these ballet flats remain me of Kate Spade! They are just so classy even though they are bright and glittery! I got a size 9 and it’s because Old Navy doesn’t carry half-sizing (which is a bummer). They fit okay but I think a half-size larger would have been perfect! But for the price, I couldn’t resist and will wear them!
Old Navy has also done an incredible job with all their accessories this fall and holiday season! Of course, I had to get the matching skinny gold belt and large gold clutch to match my shoes! Again, I’m remind of Kate Spade when picking these items out but without the larger price tag. The gold belt is thin, which makes it a great piece to use for extra pop in your outfit. The large clutch is perfect for a date night out and don’t want to carry too much with you. I used the flat gold side to tone down the “glitter” but the gold glitter side is super fun and festive! I’m also loving their jewelry and these statement earrings and necklace are great for any occasion and will be wearing them on repeat!
I had fun styling this outfit together and I hope this inspires you to wear something shiny and bright!
Talk to you guys soon!
