Welcome back and I hope everyone is having a great week! Mine has been a bit busy with cleaning up the house from much neglect from being away every weekend last month and also organizing my closet (the biggest obstacle of all! 🙈) I’m ready now to start making plans for my birthday week (which is next week, yay!) and then Thanksgiving! Time to get my recipes out and start cooking!
Today, I wanted to share one of my favorites pieces from LOFT! It’s this super cute pink and plaid blouse! It’s a favorite because not only is it pink, but it’s a soft material that is almost feels like a flannel but without the thickness. It also has a gold shimmer thread throughout the blouse which makes it a great top for the holiday season! I’m wearing a XXS in this top and runs true to my normal size.
I’ve styled it two ways to get a great idea of how to wear it with different pieces.
Pink and Plaid: Style One
When styling this outfit, I often pair it with color pieces and here I paired it with some fun colorful jeans! The rose mauve color goes great with the pink plaid top! The jeans have a fun raw edge cuff that can add a trendy look to a classic outfit. The jeans are true to size and I’m wearing a 25/0.
Pink and Plaid: Style Two
For the second look, I wanted to tone down the color but bring in fun elements of layering. Living in the south, winter barely makes an appearance, so layering pieces works the best since mornings are cooler and generally warms up in the afternoons. A poncho is the best way to add an extra layer and also make your outfit stand out…in a good way! 😊 I’m loving this pink poncho because it’s not as heavy or thick like most poncho, but also it doesn’t overwhelm my small frame. It has a faux sleeves which makes for easy wearing and it has a hood! I styled this outfit with a pair of my favorite button fly jeans that are so comfortable and stylish. They run true to size and I’m wearing a 25/0.
Oh!! I forgot to talk about my boots!! Aren’t they amazing! So I got them two years ago at Dillard’s but I was able to find a similar style from the same brand this year! They are so cute and they scream “we are hear and ready to get this show on the road!” They are the perfect bootie for the holiday season!
I hope you enjoyed these looks and that they inspired you to customize your own plaid outfit (or just copy it…it’s totally fine with me 😍). What other colors are your favorite to style with plaid?
Talk to you guys soon!
