Hello everyone! It’s almost the weekend and I can’t wait to just rest!! So this week has been a challenging week for me (well, for Izzy as well). We have came home from a very busy but super fun weekend with little rest and also little time to spend at home. So since I’m an introvert, I generally love, love Mondays! Not in the same way that most people hate Mondays, my Mondays are generally spent at home. We stay in our pjs all day and do absolutely nothing!! It’s great!
But this week has been busy and go, go, go!! To most, this is a normal week or just typical to them. But not for me and well, since I’m happy that I am busy, I’d really like to rest and recharge. I know that most…no, all moms want a little R&R but that is just not something that is feasible.
Mom life is never ending. It’s a constant hustle to get from one activity and then to the next, while trying to keep your kids calm and happy (which this is where prayer comes in handy!) and also keeping you’re sanity. Then there is the daily up keep of the house and then making sure that your family is fed. I call this the daily mommy hustle! I can never master it and I can never keep up!
I’m hear to say that I think I’m not alone in this and I know many moms (working and stay at home) feel this pressure to be the perfect mom and I’m hear to say that it is absolutely exhausting! I, Christy, am that mom that is trying to strive for that perfection and will never achieve it, EVER! No matter how hard I tired, I just feel like I walk two steps back.
This blog is a little place that I can share my inspirations and struggles with everyone, whether it reaches a million people or just my family. My hope is to at least reach out to moms (or really anyone) that feel the same way too.Sorry that this post isn’t so bright and funny like my other ones but like I said, I have lovely and not so lovely days and I plan to be authentic in who I am. But that is life, and right now life is defiantly busy!
Have you had any moments of just constant business and just feel exhausted? How do you handle it and what things do you do to refresh and recharge? I’d like to hear your comments!
Talk to you soon!
